Telford has sole discretion to determine what qualifies as a manufacturer’s defect. This warranty covers all parts of your Telford product, excluding lenses, and applies to all types of manufacturing defects or failure. Scratched lenses as a result of normal use are not covered by this warranty. The warranty program does not cover the product that is lost, stolen, dropped, shattered, sat on, or damaged in any other way incurred by excess force from the user. Telford reserves the right to not send back irreparable frames sent in under warranty.
What materials are used to make your sunglasses?
Our sunglasses are handcrafted from durable Bamboo and hardwoods such as Du Lei, Red wood and Zebra wood. All of the natural materials used are organic, renewable and free from harmful or toxic elements. Because Telford eye wear is made from bamboo or wood, each pair has a completely unique grain pattern, and no two pairs are identical. As a standard, all wooden eye wear comes with premium spring hinges and European standard (CE) UV 400 (100% UVA/UVB) polarized lenses. These are designed for both the comfort and preservation of your eyes by helping protect against cataracts. The TAC Lenses are stable in hot, cold and humid weather conditions and eliminate visible glare (both atmospheric and reflective) to improve sharpness and make colors more vibrant.
Can my wooden glasses get wet?
If your wooden sunglasses get wet, don't worry as they are coated with a water-proof wood seal to help protect your shades. A majority of them can even float.
Are these glasses durable?
Wood is naturally strong and can be made light weight as it is a great medium to work with. The best cuts which are free from defects and flaws are selected to go through a process to create a unique and durable frame. The wood is then treated to protect the natural fibers within the wood. This makes the frames stronger without sacrificing the beauty and the natural character of the real wood.
How can I clean my glasses?
We recommend using tap water and the micro-fiber cleaning pouch provided to you with your purchase. Gently blot the lens dry with the micro fiber cloth to remove any smudges. Lens specific cleaners also work.
How should I take care of my glasses?
Keep your eye wear in a safe place and do not store in a place where it may break, such as your bag or pocket. Store them in your bamboo tube that has been included in your purchase when you are not wearing them. Keep lenses clean with the microfiber bag that is included as other fabrics may scratch your lenses. A protective coating is put on every pair of eye wear to prevent drying out and or cracking, while helping to repel water and sweat.
What type of lenses are used?
We use Polarized TAC lenses which provide high visibility and a clearer view whilst blocking out any glare. All our lenses are 100% UV 400 which offer UVB/ UVA protection.
