1. PRODUCTS

1.1. All products are manufactured, to order, in house by Olive Nest Design. Each product is individually hand crafted by a skilled labourer. This takes time (4-6 week lead time) and also means that no two products will be exactly the same. We do our very best to provide you with the correct images and descriptions of all our products on this website. Descriptions and prices of products may change at any time permitting to our own will.
1.2. Steel - All steel products are welded which means that weld beads will be visible to the eye on the product.
1.3. Timber – As per its nature, no two pieces of timber will ever be exactly the same. The grain of the timber will always have its own unique pattern, natural markings and subtle colour variations. Ultimately, timber is a natural product and out of our control. As per the value proposition of Olive Nest Design, Pine Plywood is used to keep all products affordable. With this it is important to know that not all plywood comes from the same supplier or origin therefore also meaning uncontrollable differences between each product. We do however, standardise all manufacture methods by sanding and sealing our wood products.
1.4. Sealing – All pine plywood products at Olive Nest Design are spray sealed with a trusted clear matt lacquer. This improves the durability of the timber but does not mean the product is impervious to stains, moisture, heat and UV. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for any of the above or simply any user negligence. To avoid such please be sure to always use a coaster, placemat or any other necessary surface protector.
1.5. Powder-coating – All powder-coating is completed by a trusted third party supplier and closely monitored by Oliver Nest Design to ensure the best quality. With this being said, powder-coating can wear and tear if not handled correctly. To avoid this make sure the product does not get scratched or dropped.
1.6. Olive Nest Design will not be held liable for any damage to a product due to user negligence once the product has been delivered. It is the responsibility of the client to care for the product. If any damage is caused on the product by the client, the client will be held responsible for the replacement of the product and all the costs involved in doing so.
1.7. Cleaning – wipe with a damp cloth only.
1.8. We cannot be held responsible for any personal injury caused by the product due to user negligence.

2. DELIVERY

2.1. Upon receiving an order, and once the product has been manufactured; the delivery of your product will be arranged by Olive Nest Design.
6.2. All goods delivered by Olive Nest Design are done via Olive Nest Design to the Johannesburg area only.  The cost of this is included in the delivery cost upon checkout.
6.3. Olive Nest Design strives to deliver all goods within the specified 4-6 week delivery period on all products within receipt of your payment. We will notify you if we are unable to deliver the Goods during the Delivery Period.
6.4. We deliver to all major cities in South Africa. Should we not be able to deliver to you designated area you will be contacted directly by Olive Nest Design to be notified, and to, if possible, arrange for an alternative area of delivery.
6.5. We regret that we do not do any international deliveries.
6.6. Deliveries will take place during business hours on business days as well as on Saturdays.
6.7. Upon delivery you will be required to sign a form stating that you have received the correct product you have ordered. It is then your responsibility to open and check the product on the day of receiving it that it is in no way damaged or missing any components.
6.8. Should your product be damaged or missing components please refer to the procedure in the Returns Policy below.
6.9. If the product you received is not the product you ordered, please do not remove from the packaging but rather contact us at the soonest via [ email hidden ]. We will then rectify the mistake by arranging to collect the product as well as supply you with the correct product as soon as is possible.

3. RETURNS POLICY

3.1. We want you to love the piece of furniture purchased from Olive Nest Design. Should you not love your product as a result of damage or defect, you can log a return to us at [ email hidden ] within 3 weeks of your purchase and we will repair, replace or refund you for it at no extra charge.
3.2. If the product you received is not the product you ordered, please do not remove from the packaging but rather contact us at the soonest via [ email hidden ]. We will then rectify the mistake by arranging to collect the product at no extra charge as well as supply you with the correct product as soon as possible.

3.3. Damaged Products

3.3.1. Upon delivery you will be required to sign a form stating that you have received the correct product you have ordered. It is then your responsibility to open and check the product on the day of receiving it that it is in no way damaged or missing any components.
3.3.2. Should your product be damaged or missing any components, we will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product we will, at your choice, repair / replace the product as soon as possible or refund you with the purchase price of the product. Refunds are normally handled within 8 days of logging the return (bear in mind that refunds can take 3-5 working days to reflect in your account). Repairs and replacements could take longer, depending on parts / replacement availability.

3.4. Defective products

3.4.1. Please note that all products are inspected prior to despatch and we do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality and without defects.
3.4.2. A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which therefore detracts from the intended design of the product.
3.4.3. The following will not be regarded as defective and therefore not entitle you to a return:
 normal wear and tear;
 damage arising from user negligence, abuse or incorrect use of the product;
 damage arising from failure to correctly care for the product;
 damage arising from unauthorised alterations to the product; and
 where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

4. WARRANTY POLICY

4.1. If you have received a product which turns out to be defective, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware of the defect, but in any event within 3 weeks after delivery / collection of the product.
4.2. You can do so by logging a return to [ email hidden ] , and we will arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will, at your choice, repair / replace the product or refund you with the purchase price of the product. Refunds are normally handled within 8 days of logging the return (bear in mind that refunds can take 3-5 working days to reflect in your account). Repairs and replacements could take longer, depending on parts / replacement availability.
4.3. Please provide suitable packaging for returning the product (which need not be the original packaging) as well as all componentry that was sold with the faulty item when you return it to us – regardless of whether you request a repair / replacement or a refund. Our courier service reserves the right to refuse collection of a product that is not properly packaged for transport.
4.4. If you return a faulty product to us, but you fail to return all of the componentry that was sold with that product, we reserve the right to refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and only to refund you in respect of the returned item.
